Black tube agate cab ~
Here is a premium cabochon of black tube agate, something you certainly won't see often. This amazing agate features tube structures with lacy silver threads and translucent pools, cut from rough that originated near Arco, Idaho. From my understanding, this agate was always very scarce, and the small deposite was all dug out long ago. There's quite a lot going on in this example, along with a lovely translucence, as illustrated by the backlit photo. It has a high rounded dome, a gracefully crisp designer shape, and a fine glassy polish both front and back.
