Rhodonite cab ~
Here is a cabochon of gorgeous rhodonite, from Australia. It features excellent hot pink coloration, mixed with areas of sparkling charcoal black. The pink areas also have a strong crystalline appearance with nice translucence, giving the cab a fine gemmy look, and there's even a small clear area toward the tip. It has a very high rounded dome, a designer 'flame' shape, and a fine glossy polish both front and back.
