Packsaddle tigereye cab ~
Here is a designer cabochon of Packsaddle tigereye, from Australia. This amazing material has multiple 'windows' of brilliantly golden chatoyant tigereye, framed with dark metallic hematite, for a truly astonishing contrast. It flashes beautifully, and really jumps out at you. The material resembles tigeriron quite a lot, but differs in that this stuff contains only the merest hint of red jasper; I like it! I would like to mention that the lighter golden band through the center has a somewhat satiny finish, but it seems perfectly correct in this unique stone. The cab has a well rounded dome, a pleasing 'paisley' shape, polished both front and back.
