Laguna agate cab ~
Here is a premium cabochon of Laguna agate, from Mexico. It was cut from the heart of the nodule, showing pink fortification bands, puffy orbs, tubes and bullseyes, and fantastic sprays of sagenite in a sparkling crystalline background. I should mention that the sagenites are a bit less orange, more golden in color. There's quite a lot going on in this stone, along with a lovely translucence, as illustrated by the backlit photo. It has a high rounded dome, a gracefully sleek designer shape, and a fine glassy polish both front and back.
