tigereye cab ~
Here is a premium cabochon of variegated tigereye, the super old stock hailing from Africa. This one has a surprising degree chatoyance, with strong rolling flash in various mixtures of gold, green and midnight blue. The gleam of it positively jumps right out at you! There's a pair of golden streaks too, for extra added appeal. I couldn't properly capture how the stone seems to move as the glow of one area lights up while another dims, though I think you can see that it shows its brilliance extremely well from many angles. It's truly an eye catcher! The cab has a very high rounded dome of nearly 8mm, a pleasing designer 'pinwheel' shape, and a fine polish both front and back.
