Horn Coral cab ~
Here is top notch cabochon of fossilized red horn coral, from Utah. Horn corals are actually ancient sea life, and you can clearly see the organic nature of this once-living coral in the highly translucent agate. It has strong reddish color that's most desireable/collectible, with the classic 'radiating spoke' pattern shown off by a fancy shape that's much more attractive than the boring rounds and ovals most often cut. It's a nice large size too, well above average. Front and center for this one! The stone has a very high rounded dome of over 6mm, and a brilliant glassy polish both front and back.
