Mt. Brockman tigereye cab ~
Offered here is a sweet designer cabochon of tigereye, hailing from the Mount Brockman area in western Australia. It features excellent chatoyant character that rolls and flashes beautifully in various shades of gold and golden bronze. The tigereye brilliance is mixed in with red and ochre jasper that's accented by the many streaks of dark silvery hematite running through it. This tigereye in jasper material is also called Marra Mamba here in America, though it's actually distinctly different from true Marra Mamba tigereye which typically contains more bluish and reddish hues, often including the blue crocidolite host rock in which it occurs. The cab has a very high rounded dome of 7+mm, a pleasingly curved 'chevron' shape designers can have fun with, and a slick glassy polish both front and back.
