Here is a freeform cabochon of Burro Creek jasper, from Arizona. This splendid example features the classic coloration of pleasantly lavender pastels, with some scattered areas of nice translucence toward the pointed end and curved side. If you like purple stones for your creations, this one has your name on it. The cab has a very high rounded dome of over 7mm, a gracefully curvy 'crescent' designer shape, and a glassy polish both front and back.
