Here is a cabochon of top quality chrysocolla, from Morenci, Arizona. This vibrant cerulean blue material is anything but plentiful these days, and it's mighty hard to beat when it comes to eye-catching. Highly silicated material like this is quite durable; it's certainly hard enough, naturally, to take a terrific polish, and will wear well in any type of jewelry you can dream up. The stone has a very high rounded dome, a smooth symmetrical shape, and it's polished both front and back.
