Rain forest jasper cab ~
Here is a cabochon of top shelf rain forest 'jasper', from Australia. This material is actually highly silicated rhyolite, and it does include several splotches of lemon yellow and orage opalite. The stone is chock full of character, with wonderful contrast. It has a very high rounded dome, a crisp symmetrical shape, and a great glassy polish both front and back.
