Imperial Jasper cab ~
Here is a unique cabochon of Imperial jasper, from Mexico. This wonderful species of hard porcelain jasper is a pleasure to work with, and polishes up amazingly well. This one features odd hues of muted puce and mauve with cloudy bands of palest pastel blue, and a charcoal gray bullseye. There's a bit of peach and rust thrown in too. The stone has a very high rounded dome, a gracefully fluid designer shape, and both front and back are polished to a glassy brilliance.
