Chrysocolla malachite cab ~
Offered here is a vivid cabochon of chrysocolla and malachite, from Arizona. This brilliantmaterial features electric blue chrysocolla (gem silica), with ribbons and patches of green malachite, some of which shows a bit of chatoyance. Other neat details include a patch of tiny dots that look like opaque bubbles. Nicely translucent too, simply yummy! The stone has a low but well rounded dome of 4mm, and despite a teensy pit on the backside, it has an excellent polish both front and back.
