Laguna agate cab ~
Here is a deluxe cabochon of Laguna agate, from Mexico. It was cut from the heart of the nodge, featuring fortification banding, including several that are razor thin with interesting white flecks. The fine pastel and clear bands have a great degree of parallax, seeming to open and close with movement, surrounding a crystalline drusy core that's orange in color. The whole cab displays a warm translucence, as illustrated by the backlit photo. The cab has a very high rounded dome, a gracefully sleek shape, and a fine glassy polish both front and back.
