Blue quartz cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of Chinese blue quartz. I saw this intriguing material a few years ago at the Quartzite shows, and knew we had to drag some home to my lapidary studio. Should've gotten a LOT more! The rough has been a pleasure to work with, much easier and finer than I imagined it would be. The gorgeous sky blue coloration is amazing, and absolutely 100% natural, not the result of any treatments or dyes. It's rather like some larimar, wouldn't you agree? This cab has a nicely rounded dome of 6+mm, a crisp designer shape, and a smooth glassy polish both front and back.
