Bruneau jasper cab ~
Offered here is an artful cabochon of Bruneau Canyon jasper, from Idaho. It features a full pattern of eggs, one in front of the other, in pastel shades of creamy orange chiffon, against a body of deep brownish orange. There's just a touch of translucency present too, typical of the best of this fine porcelain jasper. There are no cracks or pits that I can find, only simple beauty. Bruneau jasper is much sought after by collectors and designers alike, yet sadly, next to nothing is being dug down there in the canyon's depths, so this awesome jasper's become alarmingly scarce and spendy now. The stone has a high rounded dome of 7mm, a fancy designer shape, perfectly polished both front and back.
