Rhodochrosite cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of rhodochrosite, from Argentina, cut from scarce old stock material. Not easy to come by like it once was, last I heard, the export of rough rhodochrosite is strictly controlled by the Argentinian goverment. -grr- This stone features lovely classic pink coloration and zig zag banding in lighter shades. The pair of tiny dark dots are actually shiny silver metallic. This beauty has a curvy designer teardrop shape, with a nicely rounded dome of 6mm, polished to a slick, gloss luster both front and back.
