Rose agate cab ~
Offered here is an extra gemmy cabochon of rose agate, brought in from Mozambique, Africa a few years ago. Great name for this chalcedony because it obviously has gorgeous rosy pink colors. This glowing, jelly-like example has strongly saturated hues of rose to rosy pink, with several pastel lavender and purple orbs. The orbs are actually tubes seen in cross-section, and most are ringed with a deeper reddish edge and have a tiny straw-like tendril at their centers. There's some subtle fortification between the orbs, and the entire stone is beautifully translucent, as illustrated by the backlit photo. This stone's an amazing treasure, ready to take part in your next creation; it'll definitely do you proud! The cab has a low rounded dome of 5mm and a slick, glassy polish both front and back.
