Flame agate cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of flame agate, from Mexico. This stone was cut from old stock material I've had for many years. It features a pattern of very dense flame-like plumes in a very appropriate shades of brilliant reddish orange and red, laced between with hints of golden yellow and lavender. A few tiny sparkles peek out from the beneath the surface here and there. The background agate is translucent, although I neglected to take a backlit photo. The cab has a well rounded dome of 6mm, a versatile designer shape, and a bright glassy polish both front and back.
