Parrot wing jasper cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of premium old stock parrot wing jasper, from Mexico. It features a varied pattern of vivid turquoise blue chrysocolla, green malachite and plenty in between, with a splash of rusty reddish pink cuprite. The coloration is wonderfully rich and electric, and the close up photos reveals a thread of malachite running across the stone. I really enjoy cabbing this material for use in my own jewelry; it's striking, and unlike some other parrot wing jasper I've had, this took a brilliant polish very easily. The cab has a high and well rounded dome of 7.5mm, and a sleek designer drop shape, polished both front and back.
