Bruneau jasper cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of Bruneau Canyon jasper, from Idaho. It features an attractively simple orb pattern in shades of creamy peach and burnt orange. Sadly, the best of this hard porcelain-like jasper is becoming alarmingly scarce and spendy these days, yet Bruneau jasper remains a classic favorite, and I love the stuff! It takes an outrageously glassy polish, and will forever continue to be, no doubt, sought after by collectors and designers alike. The stone has a rounded dome of 5mm, a versatile designer teardrop shape, and a brilliantly gleaming polish both front and back.
