Ocean jasper cab ~
Offered here is a fancy cabochon of Madagascar's kabambi ocean jasper. This striking example has a background of deep forest green, overlaid with pink, green and white fortifications, and a wild assortment of bullseyes and eyes. There's plenty of eye catching contrast and character present, with threads of pink in the green that lend an antique look. By my lights, this colorful variety of ocean jasper has a rather exotic flavor, and this one certainly has a decidedly festive quality about it. The stone has a generously high rounded dome of 7mm, and a graceful designer 'flame' shape, polished both front and back.
