Petrified palm wood cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of petrified palm wood, which hails from Indonesia. This particular variety of pet wood reminds me of Lousiana or Texas material, except for the inclusions of shiny metallic pyrite and small flecks of blue agate. The white to beige petioles stand out in sharp contrast against the jet black background. The stone has a high and well rounded dome of 6mm, a symmetrical designer shape, and a lustrous, glassy polish both front and back.
