Imperial jasper cab ~
Offered here is a striking cabochon of Imperial jasper, which hails from Mexico. The colors are shades of reddish orange, pink, and coral, with some areas of olive gray/brown. Puce, perhaps? This example doesn't exactly show an orbicular pattern, but instead reminds me of ripples on a pond, radiating outward. I was pleased to discover the solid orange area is highly translucent, though I haven't included a backlit photo. The stone has a rounded dome of 5mm, a plump designer drop shape, and a super glassy polish both front and back.
