Pietersite~
Offered here is a cabochon of pietersite, from China. This stone features a delightful degree of swirling pearly chatoyancy, in gleaming burnt orange and gold, and areas where the two shades blend. There are also some threads and pools of translucent bluish agate that lend a great depth of dimension. Please be sure to click the pics to enlarge them to full size so you get a good look. The stone has a well rounded dome of 6mm, a whimsical designer shape, and a fine glassy polish both front and back.
