Laguna lace agate cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of laguna lace agate, from Mexico. It was cut from newly mined material, hand selected at the Tucson gem show a few years back, and I must say it's every bit as nice as the grand old lace agate everyone loves. This example has some interesting bubbly figure with subtle fortifications, several tiny orbs and bullseyes, and a flowery sagenitic burst of finger-like tubes. Mostly white, it also includes some pastels of orange and pink, with many shades of gray. This cab has a rounded dome of 5.5mm, a designer 'flame' shape, and a great glassy polish both front and back.
