Dinosaur bone cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of fossilized dinosaur bone, from Utah. This highly silicated material is many millions of years old, a marvelous example of the natural preservation of our earth's ancient, extinct 'thunder lizards'. Over millennia, the cells in this fossil bone have been faithfully replaced with various shades of smoky blue agate, with some cells showing light sky blue dots like many agates do, while others have dabs of rusty brown. The actual cell walls, now black in color, show all the detail, forever frozen in time. The cab has a well rounded dome of 5.5mm, a versatile designer shape, and an excellent glassy polish both front and back.
