Description
~ Serape jasper cab ~

Offered here is a cabochon of top quality serape jasper, from Mexico. This jasper-agate blend was so named for its resemblance to the ubiquitous Mexican serape, a garment often made from a striped blanket. This delightfully striking example has an intriguing pattern of roughly parallel bands running the length of the stone. The colors are strong maroon red and dark magenta, with patches of bluish-gray. There is also a fainter secondary pattern of stripes going diagonally across the stone. It ought to be thrilling set in either silver or gold, or whatever else you might conjure up! It has a low rounded dome, an elegant designer drop shape, and a slick glassy polish both front and back.

Size: 57x19mm
