Dinosaur bone cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of fossilized dinosaur bone, from Utah, cut by my son Christopher. This highly silicated material is many millions of years old, a marvelous example of the natural preservation of our earth's ancient, extinct 'thunder lizards'. Over millennia, the cells in this fossil bone have been completely replaced with the palest pastel shade of blue agate. The webbing is a complimentary shade of slate. I like the two translucent agate pools; one with a yellowish tint, the other showing a whitish fortification. The cab has a well rounded dome of 7mm, and it is polished both front and back.
