Ocean jasper cab ~
Offered here is a distinguished cabochon of Madagascar's ocean jasper that's really all agate. My most favorite kind! This example features white background, with the pointed end shading into a bright carnelian orange. It's almost opalescent, reminding me quite a lot of opal from Opal Butte. The eye is naturally drawn to the stone's orbs, several of which show centers of palest pastel green. Each is surrounded by agate that's nearly water clear, so you can see full orbs floating within its depths. Lovely three dimensional quality. The stone has a low rounded dome of 4mm, a gracefully curved designer 'flame' shape, and a slick glassy polish both front and back.
