Tabu Tabu jasper cab ~
Offered here is an unusual cabochon of tabu tabu, also sometimes called 'smoke and embers' jasper, or forest fire jasper, from Africa. It has a brecciated pattern a lot like Stone Canyon jasper, only in bright crimson red. Very much like the hot glowing embers of a fire. Some patches also include pink, buff and marigold yellow, with a translucent blend of charcoal gray agate and quartz in between. This example also has hints of green too. I can think of about a zillion uses for such a stand out stone, and know you'll have no difficulty setting it to great effect. The cab has a nicely rounded dome of 6mm, a designer 'keystone' shape, and a slick glassy polish both front and back.
