Ocean jasper cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of ocean jasper, hailing from Madagascar, where it was literally mined in the ocean waters near the shore. This example is obviously more agate than jasper, with a translucent body of pastel yellow to snow white. The matching ringed orbs have greenish centers, each surrounded by a grayish halo that's actually more translucent than the background. Very simple, yet very attractive in style, with a delicate look about it! The cab has a low rounded dome of 4mm, and a designer 'catseye' shape, perfectly polished both front and back.
