Ocean jasper cab ~
Offered here is a striking one of a kind baroque ocean jasper cab. This particular Madagascar material is definitely more agate than jasper, my favorite kind. This stone was cut from the edge of a piece I've had for several years, in which the green flower-shaped orbs appear as the center of translucent tube-like formations. It would have been a shame to grind them off, and because the outer surface is botryoidal and already naturally "finished" with a frosty whitish coating, there really was no need. So I simply left that alone and finished only the remainder of the stone, shaping it into this cabochon. It may take a bit of extra creative effort to set this unique stone, but the results will be amazing, no doubt! The cab has a nicely rounded dome of 5mm, and a glassy polish both front and back.
