Ocean jasper cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of ocean jasper, which hails from Madagascar. This particular material is some of the very first harvested, and it certainly shows a lovely classic contrast. It's beautifully patterned, with an attractive arrangement of semi-translucent deep green bullseyes, resembling lilypads, framed by scalloped fortification bands of kelly green shades, pink and snow white. There's an attractive druzy pocket at center, adding a nice touch of sparkle to the mix. The odd dark line isn't a flaw, just a color zone. It'll make a delicious item of jewelry, almost effortlessly! The cab has a well rounded dome of 6mm, a designer 'flame' shape, and a glassy polish both front and back.
