Royal imperial jasper cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of Imperial jasper, from Mexico. Chris cut this 'ojitos' jasper (ojitos means little eyes in Spanish), and I think he did a fine job. The colors are shades of mauve, tinged pink toward the center, with nuances of orange shades as well.The orb pattern is reminiscent of cell division, or the petals of a rose perhaps. The stone has a high rounded dome of 6mm, a plump egg shape, and a super glassy polish both front and back.
