Regency rose plume agate cab ~
Offered here is a colorfully gorgeous cabochon of regency rose plume agate, from the famous digs in eastern Oregon. This intriguing stone was cut from grand old stock, and boasts some very ornate plumes. You know, I truly love the old material! The colors are pastels of golden yellow, with apricot, pink, coral and dusty rose. Plenty of frilly edging, and the smoky yellow agate background has just the right balance of translucence to best show off the plumes, some of which are attractively shadowed by black to brownish marcasite. This cab has a well rounded dome of 6mm, a crisp designer shape, and a fine glassy polish both front and back.
