Cherry Creek jasper cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of cherry creek jasper, which hails from China. This example features bright crimson spots on a background of olive green to blue, rich chocolate brown and mango. It also has some interesting webbing and streaks that add to its abstract flavor. It certainly cuts artistic cabs, very striking in many ways, and I think this one will make an outstanding item of jewelry. The stone has a well rounded dome of 5.5 mm, a designer 'spear' shape, and a slick glossy polish both front and back.
