Ocean jasper cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of Madagascar's ocean jasper. This eye-catching example has a background several shades of rich advocado and forest greens, overlaid with pastel yellow fortifications and eyes of various sizes. This type of ocean jasper strikes me as having a distinctly exotic flavor, and the boldly outlined bullseyes and fortifications really help that along. There's an odd natural void present as part of the pattern, too. The stone has a high rounded dome of 6.5mm, a designer 'teardrop' shape, and a slick glassy polish both front and back.
