Imperial jasper cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of imperial jasper, from Mexico. This cab was cut from spiderwebbed material, part of an old stash of porcelain jasper I recently uncovered in the studio. It has a dual pattern of curtains in light and dark shades of minty greens overlaid with another pattern of darker webbing. Odd little dots of green at the tip, too. The stone has a high rounded dome of 6.5mm, a gracefully curved designer drop shape, and a slick glassy polish both front and back.
