Royal imperial jasper cab ~
Offered here is a large and extraordinary cabochon of Imperial jasper, from Mexico. This collectible 'ojitos' material is simply wonderful stuff, another member of the fine grained porcelain jasper family I love so much. (Ojitos means little eyes in Spanish.) This extra PRIMO example features a tottally awesome full orb pattern in gorgeous shades of teal blue, green, and gold, which are far less common than most other color combinations. The orbicular pattern fits the shape of the stone quite well, and there are acccenting splashes of contrasting rusty orange as well. The backside is outrageously beautiful too, so an open back setting would be just the thing. The cab has a rounded dome of 5mm, a designer drop shape, and a super glassy polish both front and back.
