This rather exotic new gem material is so named because it was mined at the base of the highest peak in that part of the country, K2, second in height only to Mt. Everest. This example has an attractive showing of large blue spots that contrast beautifully against a white granitic background. It has a low rounded dome of 5mm, a plump designer teardrop shape, and a slick glassy polish both front and back.
