Crown of Silver psilomelane cab ~
Offered here is a unique cabochon of Crown of Silver psilomelane. It has typical sub-metallic black alternating with the shiny silver bands, several irregular bullseyes, and even some tiny plume-like blooms. But what really sets off this example are the accents of dark red jasp/agate. I chose to leave the natural botryoidal surfaces in the red centers rather than grind them away. The stone has a well rounded dome of 5.5mm, a versatile designer shape, and despite a few minor pits in the plumes, it has a gleaming polish both front and back.
