Royal imperial jasper cab ~
Offered here is a large and unique cabochon of Imperial jasper, from Mexico. This outstanding old stock material is simply delightful to work with, another member of the fine grained porcelain jasper family I love so much. This one features a bold orb pattern in pastel turquoise blue against a rich shade of dark teal green, with accents of avocado and rust. There is also a secondary pattern of streaks overlaid, along with a few stringers, much like I've seen in some morrisonite. It's a beauty! The stone has a high rounded dome of 6mm, a bold designer shape, and a super glassy polish both front and back.
