Morgan Hill poppy jasper cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of poppy jasper, from the famous Morgan Hill, CA. location, no longer open to collecting. This example features an interesting pattern of orbs and rings in reddish-orange against a background of burnt golden yellow, and brownish brick red. It does have a couple of the typical hairlines common to this collectible material, but each is well healed and fine, so the stone is quite sound. The cab has a nicely rounded dome of 6mm, and a graceful designer drop shape that's polished both front and back.
