Opal cab ~
Offered here is a striking cabochon of fiery created opal. This opal is laboratory grown. The process is an expensive and time consuming one that can take up to two years to complete, and remains a closely guarded secret. The opal is actually grown from natural opal-bearing earths, or so I hear. Totally cool stuff, crack free and virtually 100% pure pleasure to work with, and affordable, unlike a lot of mined opal. This cab features brilliant flashes of orange, green, blue, yellow and purple fire that's absolutely gorgeous, even prettier and more amazing than the photos show. It also exhibits a fascinating color shift that you'd expect to see in opal dug from the ground. The cab has a nicely rounded dome of 4mm, a designer 'lozenge' shape, and a glistening polish both front and back.
