Royal imperial jasper cab ~
Offered here is a unique cabochon of royal imperial jasper, from Mexico. This collectible 'ojitos' (little eyes) material is the very best of the best, and thankfully, I once again lucked into a huge old horde of outstanding rough nodules so I can continue to share them with you. The pattern in this remarkable stone is composed of linked orbs that remind me of Saturn somehow, with a large single orb atop the others. It has an interesting craquelure pattern composed of razor fine quartz veins. The colors are shades of coral, pink, mauve, and a dusty slate blue. The stone has a well rounded dome of nearly 6mm, an elongated designer 'bullet' shape, and a brilliantly glassy polish both front and back.
