Marra Mamba tigereye cab ~
Offered here is a premium cabochon of genuine Marra Mamba tigereye, a rarity from Australia. This startling material is, in my opinion, the most awesome tigereye in the world, and this gem's a fine example. It features a gorgeous patch of dancing pearly chatoyance in beautiful blue streaked with brilliant golden yellows. (Or is it the other way around? heh) Pretty greenish shades where the two hues blend. There are also a trio of large patches of shiny metallic magnetite, as well as ribbons and dashes of dark silver hematite. The remainder is colorful jasper, in dark slate blue, ochre, red and olive green. It's a beauty, by anyone's lights, and I'm sure you will cherish it! The cab has a generously high rounded dome of 6mm, and a designer 'flame' shape that's polished both front and back. Please note, there are a few shallow lines on the backside that don't detract from the value or soundness of the stone.
