Ocean jasper cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon cut from Madagascar ocean jasper, though as you can see, this little beauty is truly more agate than jasper. It features deep green bullseyes ringed with peachy pink, and a clear band around them as a group. It's interesting to see several tiny dendrites that have formed between the clear band and the gemmy pastel yellow agate base. The stone exhibits a warm translucence when backlit, as illustrated by the last photo. This pleasing combination of color and pattern will be gorgeous in even the simplest of settings! The stone has a nicely rounded dome of 6.5mm, a sweet pillowed diamond shape, and a slick glassy polish both front and back.
