Mexican lace agate cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of old time Mexican crazy lace agate. This one shows unusually rich contrast in charcoal, white, palest blue-gray and yellow shades, with some golden browns. It's a unique and striking combination, something seldom seen these days. The stong contrast enhances the bullseyes and bands to great effect. Any odd lines are either well healed or simply part of the pattern, however there are a few pits on the flip side, and a small void where an orb popped out. Nonetheless, this one will be grand in any type of setting, from gold or silver to beads and leather, or anything else you might dream up. It has a nicely rounded dome of 7mm, a designer 'flame' shape, brought to a brilliant polish both front and back.
