Tiger iron cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of Australian tigeriron. The tigereye in this striking stone has outstanding golden chatoyance mottled with jet black patches, alternating with ribbony bands of dark silvery metallic hematite. In hand, the hematite gleams beautifully, framing the gold tigereye windows. There's also some jasper in deep burgundy to red shades adding a pleasing touch of extra color. This material is exceptionally well silicated, making it a joy to work with. The stone has a versatile designer shape, and a nicely rounded dome of 6mm, polished both front and back.
