Morrisonite cab ~
Offered here is a trio of unique cabochons of premium morrisonite jasper, from the old Morrison Ranch digs in Oregon. This RARE material is the most sought after member of the porcelain jasper family, fondly referred to by some as the king of jaspers. A well-deserved title indeed. These cabs are truly splendid examples, with a remarkable array of complimentary hues including pleasant blue shades, mottled avocado, rusty brown, gold, ochre and more! The color and figure reminds me of some blue mountain jasper I have here. The largest stone has a well rounded dome of 6mm, while the smaller pair are 5mm in thickness. Each has a crisp designer shape, and a brilliant glassy polish both front and back.
